The Park Street Deli snack selects are definitely worth adding to your cart, if you want the quick solution.  They are easy to prepare, portioned, and strike a balance between a light snack and something that genuinely has the consistency of food.

While not all combinations are ideal, they generally prevent you from idly reaching for candy or chips.  We may now go into the specifics, but that’s the core idea.

Portion size is the first thing to be aware of.  They’re not very big.  It won’t satisfy you for hours if you are starving.  It is more of a means of sustaining you through the afternoon or until dinner.  That’s a positive thing for some folks.  It prevents you from overindulging in one meal.  Some people may find it a bit skimpy.  Depending on your expectations, I believe.

The combinations are good in terms of taste.  The fruit gives sweetness, the nuts are crunchy, and the cheeses are mild.  Occasionally, you get pepperoni or salami, which adds a salty kick to balance things out.  It’s not gourmet.  When you need something quick, this grocery store snack food is satisfying.

Convenient packaging is another reason why I enjoy it.  Nothing touches until you combine them during eating because each food occupies a small area.  This prevents the meat from soaking into the fruit or the cheese from adhering to the almonds, keeping everything fresh.  The tray itself is sufficiently robust to be thrown in a bag without fear of disintegrating.

The plastic may not be to everyone’s taste.  Single-serve packaging is undoubtedly wasteful.  With these munchies, there is a trade-off.  You might not like that aspect of it if you’re attempting to reduce the amount of disposable packaging you use.  You pay for the convenience here, but you could make your own version at home using reusable containers.

Admittedly, I wouldn’t survive on these all the time.  The serving size is simply too tiny for that, and there would be an accumulation of packing waste.  They are clever, though, for a snack once in a while.  They prevent you from reaching for junk food and make it easier to prepare your own snack packs.

Their portability is another noteworthy feature.  They are also excellent lunchbox accessories if you have children.  Instead of stopping for something fried while running errands, you can pack one in your bag and enjoy it in the car.  They are clean enough to consume at your desk without creating a mess, even in the office.

People return to Park Street Deli Snack Selects, in my opinion, for this reason.  Convenience is just as important as the food itself.  You steer clear of poorer options later when you know you have a good food on hand.  This is where the true value lies.

However, I believe they work best when used as a supplement rather than the main event.  You will need something extra to go with it if you are truly hungry.  Smoothies, salads, and sandwiches all make good companions.  If you don’t, you can end up consuming two packs at once, negating the portion control advantage.

The handmade choice will almost always be less expensive and give you more control over the ingredients when compared to creating your own snack packs at home.  However, not everyone wants to or has the time to make such long-term plans.  These are meant to fill that void.  Fast, reasonably priced, and of good quality.

In general, the Park Street Deli snack selects live up to their claims.  They are reasonably priced for most budgets, convenient, and well-balanced enough to qualify as smart snacking.  They are reliable, but they are hardly the kind of food you will talk about for weeks.  They are a fantastic option if you want inexpensive, easily portioned snacks.
