There is also another perspective.  There is more to eating lower-calorie snacks than just the statistics.  It has to do with your level of satisfaction thereafter.  Yes, the low-calorie Pringles are lighter, but do they satisfy your hunger?  Not at all.  Even after eating the fifteen chips, you may still feel the need for anything else.  This is why it’s beneficial to serve them with a side salad or sandwich.  They are not a complete food on their own, but rather a quick fix.
